August 22, 2017Reviewer: Eboni in California* These are not bad at all, very good in fact! There is a chocolatey/coconutty scent in the dry mix, but after it's cooked it's barely detectable. I did a half recipe just in case I didn't like it, and used 1/4 cup of mix, 2 tablespoons hood calorie countdown milk and two tablespoons of egg substitute. The results were two medium size, fluffy low calorie (and if you're on Weight Watchers or iTrackBites Classic, ZERO POINTS) pancakes.
If you're used to eating low carb, then you will be used to the slightly "off" texture of bready foods that don't use gluten. I thought these were very good for the macros, but in the future, I will probably use it as a low carb, low calorie filler in my Kodiak Cakes, or Big Train pancakes, where I would normally cut the mix with regular oat fiber. This will work out well because it is so pricey, but again, the nutritional profiles simply cannot be beat.
