January 18, 2020Reviewer: Theresa in Wisconsin* Best sugar substitute out there. No after taste. No gritty texture. Yes it's pricey but I HATE stevia and this works better.

March 03, 2019Reviewer: Carli in Indiana* This is the sweetener that Quest uses in their products, I believe. It’s not supposed to effect your insulin levels like other artificial sweeteners can, and it’s not overbearingly sweet.

January 23, 2019Reviewer: A guest* I love, love, love allulose. It tastes just like sugar with NO aftertaste. I do need to use more than I would when using sugar which was initially disconcerting but it is a terrific substitute for evil sugar. Netrition's price is much lower than anywhere else and delivery was in just days. Great product and great company to buy from. Thank you Netrition.

Finally, there is a sugar substitute that caramelizes like real sugar. It doesn’t leave that “cool” aftertaste sensation like erythritol. It also allows you to make ice cream that is soft and scoopable unlike other sugar substitutes that leave ice cream rock hard out of the freezer. Besides ice cream, I have used it with good results in caramel sauce, flan, creme brulee, and various baked goods. It is pricey and you do have to use more to sweeten things than other sugar substitutes, but I get around this by adding a little liquid Stevia to my recipes. It’s worth it though just to be able to have soft homemade ice cream and for its ability to caramelize. Oh, and I am very sensitive to GI effects from other sweeteners like xylitol but have never had any reaction (gas) from this product.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulMarch 18, 2018Reviewer: kreela in Virginia* I approve of a new sugar substitute that doesn’t have a strong aftertaste. Monkfruit and Stevia are the only other natural products available, always mixed with erythritol, which is supposed to invoke flatulence and is not as sweet.
As advertised, allulose looks and acts like sugar. It mixed into my tea without any granular pieces or cloudiness. The tea tasted...not sweet. I realize I am used to super-sweet stevia now, which is not as good as splenda (too bad splenda has been tagged as carcinogenic!). I probably need to try adding a full cup to the gallon+ container or mixing it with stevia, but the allulose only managed to work for two container-fulls.
So I docked 2 stars for cost. It is not cost-effective yet. I hope it becomes more available. Even better, I would love to see it substituted for erythritol with the stevia.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpfulMarch 13, 2018Reviewer: Jonathan in California* I have usually have a terrible gut reaction to sugar alcohols... you know know what I mean. This is the first sugar replacement that hasn't caused me to have to spend all day in the restroom! I have yet to have a negative reaction to this sugar substitute.
My only gripe is that this only comes in a 1lb bag....

3 of 6 people found the following review helpfulMarch 04, 2018Reviewer: Alexandra in California* I was so excited for this- an indigestible and hut-friendly sweetener? Yes please! I have IBS, so almost every sweetener fives ne trouble.
This one was the worst of them all! I was a painful gasy mess for days! Not recommended. OR, try a bit before you commit. You an your family/friends/roommates will thank me.
