June 26, 2020Reviewer: Sherrie in Ohio* I like the taste of these oats and my husband can eat them too because of him, being diabetic. This review is specific to Gluten & Grain Free Instant Hot Cereal, Unsweetened

November 24, 2019Reviewer: Karin in Texas* Once the weather turned cooler, I started looking for a low carb hot cereal. This is a great substitute! It has a consistency more like Malt-o-Meal than oatmeal and the chia seeds add an interesting texture, but it is naturally sweet and very filling. I make mine with a little less water than recommended and then add butter and heavy cream. Yum!This review is specific to Gluten & Grain Free Instant Hot Cereal, Unsweetened

February 11, 2019Reviewer: carol in New York* Since going grain free I've missed my morning oatmeal so much - this is a fantastic substitute! I mix in fresh berries and either yogurt or cottage cheese for additional protein boost - totally hooked!

October 31, 2018Reviewer: Fran in Ohio* This is the best and easiest to prepare instant cereal out there. It is extremely nutritious. It contains only nuts, seeds, coconut and the gut boosting konjac. Everything is organic. I usually eat it when my sweet tooth is begging for something. This review is specific to Gluten & Grain Free Instant Hot Cereal, Unsweetened

May 09, 2018Reviewer: Deborah in Oregon* Tastes wonderful! I've missed hot cereal for breakfast. The one I first learned to make had egg in it and I wanted to find something that didn't require egg. My very first try using this, I substituted unsweetened almond milk for the water and it came out perfect. Next time, I'll have some heavy cream to pour over the top.

March 31, 2018Reviewer: Jan in Indiana* This cereal is easy to make and tastes delicious! I just returned to purchase another bag as unfortunately, there are not many servings per bag. I would love an even larger option on this product.

January 24, 2018Reviewer: A guest* Delicious and nutritious for your Keto/Low Carb diet. Bought the smaller size to try and will go for larger next time. The ratio of cereal/water I use is 3 Tbs product to 5 Tbs water. I then add about 1/4 tsp of grass-fed butter, a dot of maple syrup substitute and a drop of vanilla. I have several types of flavored stevia drops (caramel/chocolate) that also make this taste fabulous. Think of this cereal as a blank slate waiting for your creativity. It's prepared in less than two minutes after water boils so good for a busy morning. This review is specific to Gluten & Grain Free Instant Hot Cereal, Unsweetened

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulJanuary 10, 2018Reviewer: Naudia in Texas* The good: I mentioned in another review how much I love/miss cream of wheat and I was thrilled to have found that product which offered me my "fix". This is even closer with respect to the actual consistency of cream of wheat. Flavor is nice, nothing strong/annoying that needed to be toned down, perfect for adding your own extracts and whatnot. And I really, really, really love that there's no sucralose so I can decide how I want to sweeten it!!
The bad: There is only the one flavor, and that can be both good and bad depending on who you ask. Since this is my review, I think it's kinda bad. I can add extracts, as I've said, but sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don't...meaning, I don't possess every extract known to man, and some flavors aren't even available, so it's nice to have the option of already-added flavor. Know what I mean, Vern?
The ugly: I took a chance with the bigger bag (cuz I'm hardcore like that) and the same quantity is roughly twice as expensive as the aforementioned other product I've been ordering...and that one has various flavors so I can taste the rainbow.
Overall: This is tasty stuff and you will not be disappointed. I could easily overlook the fact that there are no flavored versions as I do have a few yummy extracts I'm partial to, but the cost is going to prevent me from purchasing this one as much as I'd truly love to.

December 03, 2017Reviewer: Gail in New Mexico* This is my hot cereal of choice. I make less than a serving, add a tiny bit of cream and a few grains of salt. It's filling and satisfying.

November 24, 2017Reviewer: Subhadhra in Washington* By far, this is the BEST hot cereal I've ever tasted! I love that it's low in carbs, too. (When I make it, I like to add a tablespoon of chia seeds, a packet of Splenda and a tablespoon of Kerrygold Irish butter.) It keeps you feeling full without the sluggish feeling that grain cereal can make you feel. I ordered the small bag originally. Now I'm ordering the larger one. I highly recommend this great tasting cereal to warm you up on those cold mornings.
