June 12, 2020Reviewer: A customer in Florida* My new favorite healthy crunch snack! BBQ is number 1 flavor. Second best is Ranch. Don't know why they have sweet flavors with 4-5 grams of sugar each.. Would love it if they added a spicy flavor like smoked paprika or a chili pepper! This review is specific to Protein Crisps, Barbecue

December 21, 2019Reviewer: Nicole in New Jersey* It was okay but to me it had a little bit of an aftertaste . Maybe it was the seasoning . Tried the Salted Caramel too , that one was great !This review is specific to Protein Crisps, Ranch

October 29, 2019Reviewer: Whitney in Oregon* Wow, I was seriously blown away by how good these were. I've tried these protein puff type things before (tried all the flavors of Shrewd Foods brand) so I wasn't expecting too much, especially with some of the negative reviews here. But the texture was perfect, a light crunch that reminds me of Planter's cheese balls. The Shrewd foods puffs are too gritty/hard for me. Also the flavor was awesome. It didn't feel like I was even eating a low-carb product. Gonna order more ranch and try the barbecue next! This review is specific to Protein Crisps, Ranch

February 25, 2019Reviewer: Brooke in Texas* I'm glad I only bought a single bag. These things were so disgusting that I actually threw them out. There was a nasty aftertaste of oil and chemicals. The texture and size is comparable to the twin peaks protein puffs (which I would recommend over these) but the taste was simply unpalatable. The Shrewd Food protein puffs are much better, although closer to Planters cheese balls in size and texture. This review is specific to Protein Crisps, Ranch

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulJanuary 18, 2019Reviewer: Michel in Oklahoma* I just opened this bag of crisps. The smell is reminiscent of fish, so a big turn off right away. The taste is pretty much the opposite of what I was expecting. Ranch? No. I got spicy fish flavor, with a bit of a cardboard-ish backdrop. The texture of the product was ok, crunchy without being too hard. I will be sticking with my Quest tortilla chips in the future. This review is specific to Protein Crisps, Ranch

August 19, 2018Reviewer: sheila in Ohio* This is a good replacement for when you want something crunchy to munch on. I would give 4 stars for the ranch flavor. This review is specific to Protein Crisps, Ranch

August 14, 2018Reviewer: Andrea in New Jersey* I tried both flavors. The ranch doesn't taste like ranch, to me. It's a little spicy and ok, but I wouldn't call it ranch. The BBQ flavor is better, overall. I couldn't finish the ranch. The puffs themselves had a bizarre aftertaste and were just so unpleasant. The BBQ doesn't have that same issue, but I wouldn't go out of my way to re-order.

July 01, 2018Reviewer: Stacey in California* I love these so much! Even though the flavor is ranch, they have a little spiciness to then. SO GOOD!This review is specific to Protein Crisps, Ranch

May 24, 2018Reviewer: Kristi in Ohio* The Ranch flavor Healthwise Protein Crisps are really tasty! They are the shape and size of Coco-Puffs cereal, which surprised me. I didn't think they would be so tiny. But, if you eat one little puff at a time, they last longer! I do believe the price is a pinch high for this size of a snack. But, that's what you get when you purchase "health foods". However, Netrition's price for this product were the lowest around! And, believe me, I looked everywhere to find it cheaper. I would recommend this as a sidekick to add to your lunch or for a little snack when you want something to munch. This review is specific to Protein Crisps, Ranch

April 12, 2018Reviewer: Rachel in Missouri* I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I am constantly on the hunt for snacks to keep me company during movie viewing, and these rang the bell! No added sugar and very low in carb. It benefits from not really resembling any common treats, such as popcorn or chips. I popped one or two at a time and the small bag kept me company through the first third of a film. If you're a sugar hawk, note that the ranch bag is half the carbs of the bbq. This review is specific to Protein Crisps, Ranch

March 25, 2018Reviewer: Morgan in Massachusetts* They weren't bad at first. The coating is pretty tasty. The puffs themselves get stranger the more of them you eat. Not the worst thing ever, and the texture is really nice. But still...kinda blech.
