September 15, 2009Reviewer: Jacob in New Jersey* This is just straight up maltodextrin, so not much to review. There isn't much taste unlike the sugary sweetness of dextrose. However, it makes for a slower release of carbs and is great mixed with protein powder and dextrose after a workout. I tried to find maltodextrin in a smaller size, but it doesn't seem to go bad if you keep it sealed and dry. My only major complaint is that it clumps up easily, but I don't' mind the clumps too much.

It helps cut down lactic acid or muscle pain/soarness. You can not drink this straight though! I did once and it was awful, but once I mixed it with Kool-Aid it was awesome.
