November 22, 2020Reviewer: ROBERT in Texas* I combined 3 ounces of Wheat Protein Isolate 5500 (LifeSource Foods), 3 ounces of Oat Fiber 500 (LifeSource Foods), 3 ounces of Growing Naturals Pea Protein Original, 3 ounces of L-C Multi Grain Bread Mix and a Tablespoon of Bob's Red Mill Xanthan Gum and came up with a 1/2 gram per serving pie crust for a Summer Squash Pie I just baked on Friday and the pie and crust were both off the chart!

July 09, 2020Reviewer: maryanne in Arizona* I previously used this in bread recipes with carbalose and wpi 8000. wasn't thrilled with the taste. Now I use it for bench flour to roll out tortillas, instead of using carbalose which is more expensive. I make tortillas weekly (with carbalose, of course), so I keep a bag of wpi 5500 on hand. My favorite bread recipe is Deborah Krueger's from low carb scams.
Netrition is the best site for keto and low carb products.

March 16, 2019Reviewer: Seung Woon in North Carolina* I have tried All Purpose flour mix #1 and #2 so, so many times, but every time they come out tough and intolerably sour!!! I wish the product description put very clear information about how to use it because the flour mix recipe does NOT work contrary to its claim that the flour mix should work exactly like regular flour. I wasted so much money...

Since my bread comes out PERFECT, soft with a good rise, I would guess all these items that I buy from Netrition are good. I have been buying the item for years now.

8 of 9 people found the following review helpfulJune 25, 2009Reviewer: Masami in Japan* I bought this product to use with carbalose flour to make a simple white loaf of low-carb bread. I have found that it leaves a distinct sour aftertaste that I do not like. I have since discovered on other sites that there are some who also find the taste intolerable, while others are not bothered at all. It may be less noticeable in baked items that have a stronger taste than white bread, or it may simply be a matter of personal preference. I would suggest to customers who have not tried this before to buy just one bag to see if it agrees with you before you buy a whole load (like I did).

2 of 2 people found the following review helpfulMarch 05, 2009Reviewer: Michelle in South Carolina* This puts me back in the arena of baking the best breads again...and low carb friendly, too. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Easy to work with, tastes good, no bad smell...even looks good. Sounds good, too -when the beeper goes off letting me know that it's done baking.
Butter my buns and call me a biscuit, look what's here...Bread again!
