September 27, 2018Reviewer: Kreela in Virginia* I have tried both LifeSource and NOW Oat Fiber.
Pros: 1. It has 0 calories 2. It is a fiber additive that doesn't cause flatulence (supposedly) 3. It thickens sauces beautifully 4. Have I mentioned that brownies using flour and oat fiber have lower calories? Much lower. 5. It is pure white
Cons: 1. This fiber is lighter (flyaway) than the NOW oat fiber. 2. It tends to go all over the counter when disbursed from the bag. I try to use a funnel to put it in a different container and wish it would arrive in a pourable, reclosable container.

Its a great, low calorie and low carb way to add extra fiber to your diet and bulk to your baked goods (a great flour substitute). You can find several great recipes online and in these reviews, so I won't bother repeating those. it is very economical. the only downfall is too much of it causes quite a bit of malodorous gas.
