However, the carbanada fettuccine version of a noodle is a lot closer to a fettuccine noodle than other low carb pastas. We love the easy cooking, convincing texture, unobtrusive taste and the fact it doesn’t crank our blood sugar.
We don’t like that sometimes the packages are slightly open or have a tear, and that they sometimes carry those irritating little black grain insects with the long snout. We buy a lot of faux pasta products from Netrition and CarbaNada products seem to be the only ones with bug issues. Not sure if that happens because it’s endemic to the manufacturer or if it’s about the open bags.
Last note: for all that I love CarbaNada products, I have to go easy on the sauce and serving size. Dinner with these is sometimes followed by a morning with explosive diarrhea. Hate to be so blunt, but yeah. The condition seems to happen with bigger quantities and/or fatty sauces or maybe not enough protein to lessen the effects.

I order a hundred dollars worth so I do not have to pay the $6.99 shipping charge. Sounds cheap, but it will take me a few months to pay off my bill anyway... I found this company a few months ago. I absolutely Love Them. I had ordered the Al Dente Roasted Garlic Fetticinni a few months ago, followed directions, Cooked it for 3 minutes. The stuff was rubber. I was cleaning the other day, forgot I had my FETTUCCINE on the stove, ten minutes later, I thought oh no. They were wonderful. Just like noodles??? So why only cook them for 3 minutes??? Nobody paid me to write this. I am a 63 year old from Wisconsin, originally from the Twin Cities, Minnesota.

April 19, 2018Reviewer: Debra in Oregon* Omg I would not be able to keep a diabetic diet with out carba nada noodles, tastes like a good regular wheat pasta, perfect not mushy, a bit firm not too firm just right one cup is all you need for a meal, which is about 12 grams carbs kid you not! 1/2 is all you ned for chicken noodle soup, which is 6 grams of carbs. With carba nada I was able to make chicken fettuccine alfredo with broccoli, fettuccine with marinara sauce and meat balls. Beef strogonoff, hungarian goulash, over noodles. Chicken low main. The possibilities are endless!!! I sure hope I didn't tout this product too much, because I buy at least 4 to 5 bags of it every time I order from netrition. Carba nada noodles is a life saver, and a main stay item in my house. My non diabetic husband who has to watch his weight loves it! Now we can have pasta and be healthy too yea!! I did learn there are a few tricks to cooking it, just cook it a little longer than what it says or test the noodles as you cook them until they are at the texture you want them. My fiance is diabetic and he can finally eat pasta and it does not spike his blood sugars. This product has 17-18 net carbs per 2 oz. serving. A whole day's worth of carbs in one serving! The marketers deliberately put a big 3 in a circle near the bottom of package which is how all others advertise their Net Carbs at a glance. Only the 3 is not the net carbs; it's the number of minutes to boil. Regular Barilla Fettuccine has 40 net carbs per 2 oz. serving, so this is just reduced carb at a price premium of 300% cost.
Netrition clearly states the net carbs in their text description. Good for them and bad for me to fall for Carba-Nada deceptive packaging. The pasta isn't even that good. Eat half the real thing or pay 300+% premium for sub standard taste for the same net carbs.

Carba-nada is terrific (I like it even better than Atkins), and it tastes just like regular pasta. It cooks very quickly, so keep an eye on it. I have tried the various flavors, but can't really tell the difference since I use sauce on it.

It isn't a wonderfully low carb noodle but it is a much better choice than traditional pastas if you're trying to stay low carb. We use it sparingly for an occasional meal about every other month. I do, however, try to keep my carbs under 50 and calories under 1500 which allows me (5'8" 165) to lose a little or at the worst maintain my weight. At 17 net carbs this product allows me to enjoy pasta once or twice a week without ruining my regimen. The taste and texture is certainly comparable to the regular pasta bought in the supermarket. At less than half the carbs of regular pasta it's well worth the extra cost to me. I do wish they made other types like penne or rigatoni for variety. They also should change their name. Obviously one should look at the nutritional information if one is on a severely carbohydrate restricted diet, but "Pasta Nada" as a name is misleading.

The flavor was very much like a traditional noodle and the texture is exactly as named Al Dente. I cook mine for 4-5 mins and they come out perfect every time. The only reason I am giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish it was lower in carbs. 17 net carbs per serving is a little high for me but the flavor and texture are well worth it for the occasional Italian treat. When you open the bag you can literally smell the garlic and you just know they're going to be good! They kind of remind me of a klusky noodle and when cooked they feel homemade. Only one comment: This pasta needs to be cooked longer than the 5 minutes recommended on the package. Cooking it for only 5 minutes does not result in Al Dente pasta, it is more Al Chrunche`. I was skeptical to try this pasta, but decided to give it a chance anyway based on the reviews and I'm so glad that I did. In my opinion, it tastes just like egg noodles. The texture is slightly different, but not enough to really notice. I love to eat them with butter. They do need to cook longer than "normal" pasta. I don't eat them every day...maybe 1ce every 2 weeks, bc it is more carbs than I would normally allow myself at one meal, but it's nice to have them when I do want pasta or when the kids request spaghetti and meatballs. Definitely worth trying...I just ordered 3 more packages.

I was a tad bit skeptical because anyone who knows how bad some low carb pastas can be would still doubt a consistent 5 star product. But this brand is FANTASTIC. My package was at my door yesterday evening when I got home from work and I was anxious to try one of the flavors I ordered. I went for the Basil. I cooked the pasta and in another small skillet I caramelized some onions in a small amount of butter and olive oil, put those into the pot with the pasta. Then pan heated some leftover steamed cauliflower and broccoli in a little more butter and olive oil along with a sprinkling of salt, lemon pepper and garlic powder. Mixed that all together with the pasta/onion mix, another pat of butter and a small drizzle of olive oil to coat the pasta nicely and a sprinkling of salt to taste, it was simply amazing. I only cooked half of the package and it gave us 2 very generous servings. I also got 3 of the Egg and 2 of the Roasted Garlic. Can't wait to try them all. I cooked these for 7 minutes and they were perfect! I couldn't tell they weren't full-carb pasta. Granted these aren't technically low carb, but they are more fiber and 1/2 the carbs of regular pasta. The portion size is very large so you could even cut it back further.
Also I couldn't really tell that they had a garlic flavor, but I used it with spaghetti meat sauce. Would be wonderful with alfredo! They need more noodle shapes!!

The cardboard of most soy noodles. The fishy gloop of Shiritaki noodles. And the fraud of the delicious, but ruins-my-diet Dreamfields pasta.
I've been quite pleased with the recent Fiber Gourmet pastas that have entered the marketplace, but this product is even lower in carbs. At 18 carbs a serving Carba-Nada won't blow your whole day and it's delicious. I was very impressed with the taste and texture. So much so, that I kind of want proof that the carb count is really what they say it is.
Very very good. This will become a staple.

These noodles are AWEsome and beyond that, guilt-free. They are a perfect substitute for ultra carby fettuccine! I paired them with shrimp and broccoli to made a delicious fettuccine alfredo. After the water started boiling, the noodles were ready in 5 minutes flat. They taste delicious, one of those foods I would eat even if it wasn't healthy! I tried the egg kind just to play it safe, but I can't wait to get my hands on the roasted garlic flavor! Mmm MMM!

Having diabetes and eating low carb go hand in hand for me. The reduced carbs in this pasta keep my blood sugar from spiking.
