July 11, 2015Reviewer: Daniel in Florida* I have used NOW D3 1000 IU several times in the past and was satisfied. However, in buying this time I noticed that all the variants of NOW D3 make the claim that they are soy free but the 400 IU and the 1000 IU varieties then go on to say that additional ingredients include soybean oil. This strikes me as a deceptive claim. The 2000 IU and above use other oils such as olive oil.
Since I wanted the 1000 IU size and I don't ever want soybeans or soybean oil in my products I opted for the Doctor's Best version which does use olive oil in all sizes.
I would rate the 2000 IU and above as "4" for the better ingredients but knocking it down 1 just for the apparent deception of the company.
Editor's note: "The ingredients are listed for each size and dosage. At the time of this writing, some contain soybean oil and some do not. Please read ingredients closely. There is no deception being perpetrated."

January 22, 2013Reviewer: Afsheen in Florida* Whats on the label is on the bottle. Plus, it is much cheaper than other brands. Would recommend it to all. A necessity, if one is taking 1 gram of elemental Calcium per day.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulJanuary 15, 2010Reviewer: A customer in United Arab Emirates* Great Product. I was very D deficient and some other products didn't raise my D level at all. The 5000 iu product helped raise my levels to normal and now I use the 2000 iu product for maintenance. I didn't care for the liquid version because of a slight oily taste.

A resent article published by doctors for doctors is entitled "Vitamin D the under prescribed ANALGESIC".
After finding this site where I can get the 5,000 unit softgels I now can control my pain. I take one a day and if I have pain I take another.
It really does a wondrous job of relieving the pain. I use it in conjunction with calcium. Each time I take one D-3 I take at least one 500 unit calcium.
Doctors are afraid of D-3 because they are not trained in nutrition. I am thankful I have a place I can get a higher dose than is available over the counter.
Thanks Netrition
