September 06, 2011Reviewer: Gwendolyn in Georgia* I fill these with tuna salad. They are a little thin and small, but maybe that's what makes them low carb. They are a bit flour-y tasting, but I will use them until I find a better alternative.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpfulJuly 23, 2009Reviewer: Maggie in New York* I first tried one of these pitas right out of the package, and was overwhelmed by that unpleasantly familiar soy taste. Yccch. I was ready to throw out the package, but then figured I'd try one more experiment: I toasted a pita and used it as a base for some plain scrambled eggs, on a night when I needed easy-to-eat, uncomplicated comfort food. And it was just dandy. This morning, I toasted another one and then melted cheese on top, and that, too, worked just fine. Is it crisp-crusted artisinal bread? Nope. But toasting does kill off a lot of the nasty low-carb taste. That taste does, in my view, make is sadly inappropriate for a regular sandwich, but toasting does allow for a lot of other uses.
