December 05, 2018Reviewer: John in North Carolina* Forgot to "save" this review after reviewing - sorry if it shows twice. I tried the Amaretto and Hazelnut SF. The flavors are ok, but there is a slight artificial sweetener aftertaste that I don't get with plain granular or powdered erythritol. The good news is that I don't get a slight burning throat sensation with Monin, like I get with the erythritol. My friend likes it, so maybe it is me. It is very sweet compared to the same weight of erythritol. My only other wish is that ALL the bottles were glass, instead of plastic.

September 14, 2018Reviewer: A customer in Florida* Got the Pomegranate, Hazelnut, White Chocolate and Mango, Had high expectations because of the reviews: POMEGRANATE (*****): Exactly like everyone says, really good but nothing like pomegranate but great anyway! HAZELNUT (*): was a big disappointment. Very chemical flavor, used it in coffee and hated it. I may give it away. WHITE CHOCOLATE (**): I have not used it in a food/drink yet but it reminded me more of a marshmallow, which was not the flavor I need. I plan on using it in chocolate or a cookie. I'll update if I like it but straight out of the bottle, it's sweet but not chocolate, white or otherwise. MANGO (***): This was the strangest. Smelled great, but tried some out of the bottle and it tastes like detergent!! So gross! I shook it up expecting soap foam (It didn't have any). Mixed with iced green tea and it's surprisingly good. Just obviously can't use it in large concentrations because you will not enjoy.

August 29, 2017Reviewer: kreela in Virginia* I have tried the Da Vinci, Torani, and Monin chocolate syrups. Most of the time I prefer the Torani sugar-free dark chocolate. It is less expensive and tastes better. This syrup and the Da Vinci were odd. This review is specific to Sugar Free Syrup, Chocolate

September 15, 2012Reviewer: Susan in Virginia* I gave the chocolate flavoring 3 stars only because once you get past the smell, the taste isn't so bad. Don't know if I got something different than other reviewers, but the smell of what I got is truly awful! Very strong chemical smell. It's really hard to get past that. Other flavors I've tried have had pleasant smells and taste fine. Do like that overall Monin is thicker than the other brand. Personally, I won't be buying this flavor again. This review is specific to Sugar Free Syrup, Chocolate

May 06, 2011Reviewer: A customer in Missouri* I ordered the Monin Sugar-free Blackberry syrup. It was OK, but had somewhat of a "cigar" taste about it. I will be trying other flavors. I probably won't buy that flavor again unless I try it in a different brand. I have 2 more flavors on the way so we will see what those are like. This review is specific to Sugar Free Syrup, Blackberry (plastic)

March 06, 2011Reviewer: Stephanie in Maryland* I generally love the Monin' syrups, but the raspberry keeps breaking down in the bottle. This has happened to me twice. It never happens with the vanilla or the white chocolate, so I have to think it's something acidic in the fruity flavors. This review is specific to Sugar Free Syrup, Raspberry (plastic)

February 27, 2010Reviewer: Andrea in California* I really love the Monin O'Free blackberry and raspberry syrups, so I am sorry to say that the Hazelnut falls short. There simply isn't enough Hazelnut flavor relative to the sweetness - using enough to really taste the hazelnut results in over sweetening. Perhaps they could try a toasted hazelnut with a more intense flavor? This review is specific to Sugar Free Syrup, Hazelnut (plastic)
