    * Awfulness. In all fairness the Xylitol used to sweeten this syrup is the primary problem, but aside from that it just doesn’t taste good. The maple flavor is weak and this stuff is pretty thin, not at all syrup-ey (I make up words, Chef don’t judge! LOL!). Silver lining…I’m using the nice glass bottle to house my homemade chocolate syrup (house…”home”made…see what I did there?!). Alas, I will not be sampling their other flavor(s).

    All that said, YMMV so don’t be afraid to try new things. Yes, it gets costly when you’re sampling low-carb foods, particularly the online-only variety, but trying is the only way to find your staple items. I’ve been eating this way for several years and am used to all manner of artificial sweetener, in fact I’ve come to prefer my diet foods/drinks to the ones with “real” sugar. Xylitol, however, is the debil and I reckon I’ve finally learned to avoid it like the plague because, for me, there is no recipe better served by using that. Recipe…served…I’m giving you gold here, ppl! =D

    * I ordered this syrup because it was sugar free and no sodium, which sounds good but too good to be true. I found it to be way too runny, like water, and not much flavor, like water.
