The flavor is sooo good. It comes out a bit "icee" but its diet so... To make this in a standard home ice cream maker, I mix 4 cups of water, and 9.4 oz of mix in a blender. I add a little xanthum gum in my attempt to make it creamier. Once completely blended (2-3 minutes), place mixture in frig for a few hours until chilled. I blend the chilled mixture for another minute just before I pour it in the ice cream maker. Pour in ice cream maker and let her go for about 20 minutes. It'll be like the thickness of a milkshake. I scoop it all out into a Tupperware and freeze for a few hours to get a more solid consistency. I'm gonna estimate that it turns out to be a little over 300 calories. It hits the spot and tastes great BUT the cons are that aside from coming out "icee", it contains carrageenan which gives you a leaky gut. I used to buy the wow cow low carb mix which did not contain this ingredient and was creamer but they stopped producing it. :/

That being said, I had to improvise to make this in my small 2 qt ice cream mix. I am on a ketogenic diet, so I combined 2 cups heavy cream, 3 eggs, and 100 grams of the cookies and cream mix (it could use a little more in my opinion) in a stand mixer until the mix was well combined and just starting to froth.
I have a Cuisinart ICE-30R Pure Indulgence Frozen Yogurt Sorbet & Ice Cream Maker. I turned the machine on and poured the mixture in. It mixed for 30 minutes and it does not solidify very much- just thickens slightly and gets cold. After 30 minutes I put it in an ice cream container and froze it for around 3 hours (overnight is also fine), and it was nice and solid and tasted delicious.
These mixes have a protein powder type flavor (some are worse than others). I own the yellow cake batter, cookies and cream, and peanut butter. However, they are going to last me a long time at this rate so I'm pretty happy. So far I highly recommend the cookies and creme and peanut butter. The yellow cake batter is decent but is stronger in that protein powder taste. This review is specific to Carbolite No Sugar Added Soft Serve Mix, Cookies N Creme
