March 18, 2021Reviewer: Linda in Michigan* I was disappointed in this product. It has a chemical odor and a weird consistency. I wish I would have ordered 1 individual muffin to try before ordering more. I will finish them but not order them again. This review is specific to Muffins, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip
1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulSeptember 18, 2020Reviewer: Michelle in Missouri* Ok, I gave 3 stars which to me is a low rating however I would still recommend this IF someone actually likes this kinda stuff. Here's the thing, I bought the cinnamon kind. Straight out of the package, egh not impressive. Reminded me of a bread like substance we would find in our MREs. If it's the only option and hungry enough, I would probably eat it and the paper wrapper without thinking twice. Unfortunately for these guys, there are better options and I'm not starving. So, #2 muffin got cut in half, smeared with butter and nuked in microwave. This was better, still not diggin the flavor. ( IMO they used too much sweetener and gives that erythritol cooling aftertaste...i don't like that and have learned through my own baking that using less erythritol will not leave the cooling aftertaste...it's so sweet anyway, little goes a long way) anywho... muffin #3 got cut in half, smeared with butter and toasted in the toaster oven. Winner, that's the way to eat these. Texture isn't bad, but fibrous and I think a little dry. Have I had worse, absolutely. Have I had better, yes and therefore will not reorder these unless it's the only option. This review is specific to Muffins, Cinnamon
June 25, 2020Reviewer: Marthe in Florida* Chocolate one is better than the blueberry one. Both very dry but the blueberry one has a bitter taste
June 24, 2019Reviewer: Deborah in Oregon* I am not impressed with the taste. Besides erythritol, there is also inulin listed which is a sweetener (Just Like Sugar and LC-Foods sweeteners are made from chicory root inulin). Now, I love and use both (individually) of them for my low carb cakes, cupcakes, and candies but, for some reason, with these muffins the initial touch to the tongue is not as pleasant as I'd hoped for. Maybe my tongue doesn't like the combination. I'll still eat them because they are waaaaaay too expensive to throw out. Plus, I haven't tried the other two I ordered, Cinnamon and Almond. I'm giving a middle-of-the-road rating because most reviews on these muffins are positive so I suggest ordering ONE box of ONE flavor at first before buying a buttload like I did. This review is specific to Muffins, Blueberry
