August 06, 2020Reviewer: Sandra in New York* Until I find better, these are my go-to buns. The taste is mild, no awful chemical taste. The texture of the crust is perfect. The bun holds together well for toasting, or using as is for hamburgers. The only thing I would point out is the density of the bun, it is VERY dense, and somewhat chewy, not like a regular hamburger bun that you are used to. This doesn't affect the taste at all, just how much you chew. The good part about it is, no matter what I have used it for, it does not fall apart as some of the other brands do. I highly recommend them, unless the heavy density would bother you.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpfulJanuary 28, 2019Reviewer: Steve in Illinois* Does not exactly taste like the traditional hamburger buns I've bought from the grocers and eaten for years, but a good substitute if like me you're diabetic and want a low carb hamburger bun. I've found lettuce wrapped burgers are very tasty as well, but not all establishments have leaf lettuce in able to wrap burgers (or other patties on their menus). Also some just slap a leaf of lettuce on top and bottom, not a real "wrap", makes for messy eating, with everything falling out so you have to eat it with a knife and fork. These Zero Carb buns make it easier to eat and keeps everything on the bun.
