January 08, 2018Reviewer: A customer in South Carolina* They use maltitol as the sweetener, so it does cause some gastric issues. They weren't bad but not that good either.

They were moist, chewy (a little oily), and I really was thrilled to find them. However, they caused the worst gas I've ever imagined having! Terrible cramps, bloating, gas. Of course, I made three boxes before I would believe such a good brownie could cause such problems. Unfortunately, now they are sitting in my pantry...Good luck. If you don't have sensitivity to sugar alcohols, I would definitely try them.

But after chilling them the proper amount of time in the fridge, they set up nicely and make a very nice solution to a chocolate craving.
HOWEVER, be VERY CAREFUL how much you eat if you are at all sensitive to sugar alcohols...I am, and these caused some nasty cramping after I made the mistake of eating a 2nd (small) brownie.
I liked the flavor, but I'm going to "test-drive" a couple of the other brands listed here on Netrition's site before I buy these again.
