I have been drinking the Chocolate Malt Cytogainer for several years. I don't use it as a gainer, but as a protein source and meal replacement. I am 53 years old, slim, and haven't found anything that will bulk me up. But that's ok with me. I am addicted to this stuff and love the taste with four scoops, one quart of water, and mixed in a blender. I have this once a day, every day. It gives me energy and stays with me longer than a normal balanced meal.

First off, this product only tastes good with milk. If you plan on using it with water, it's gonna taste weird. It mixes fairly well. It's not 100% smooth but you can just shake it and most of the stuff dissolves without leaving much clumps.
I NEVER use the full 4 scoop serving because it will give you nasty gas and make you feel bloated. I use only two scoops per serving. The taste with milk is not too bad. I bought the Vanilla Caramel Swirl and it doesn't have any aftertaste or anything like that.
Just don't use a blender or magic bullet because if you stir it too much or let it sit, it becomes frothy and you might not like that consistency. I just put two scoops in an 8 ounce cup, fill it with some milk, stir it till it's smooth and chug it.
I'd recommend it but I want to try a few more brands before I buy my second tub of Cytogainer.

Great tasting protein. Helps add good muscle mass. Great for bedtime snack, ensuring you have the nutrients and protein you need during deep sleep. Doesn't mix as well as I expected, that's why I gave it four stars. Mixes fine in a blender though.

I have tried other drinks, but none compare... I have used this for years now and it was crucial to me on my Ironman race. For me this is my magic elixir... I always get my best performance on the bike with this and it is a must have on long rides... and now even my kids like the Cool Citrus for soccer games.
I have been an avid cyclist for the last 20 years, and was a racing cyclist before that. I have tried a literal ton of sports drinks, and the only one I use today is Cytomax. It does everything it is supposed to do, provides sustained energy and electrolytes, does not upset my stomach, and tastes great. I have recommended it to dozens, and they are all now users of it also. A great product.
Have you ever started to completely run out of gas near the last half of your workout, sometimes even ending the workout before doing all of your sets? Well, start using Cytomax before and during the workout, that way you will finish all your sets.
Without feeling any sort of "rush" or other junk, Cytomax has really worked for me, my wife and son. Drink it before and you'll see how your workouts get more intense and longer without seeming to require any extra effort. Drink some after and you feel better recovering. Great product. Tastes pretty good too (we have used Tangy Orange). Recommended to me by a competitive runner who loves it. We call it "marching powder."
I've been using Cytomax for a couple of years now. I usually drink it while working out at the gym or doing training bike rides. I also use it prior to and during triathlons and other similar events. I think it works great. It doesn't tend to be syrupy like Gatorade and I think it is more economical than Gatorade.
Muscle Milk is by far the absolute BEST protein drink among the many I have tried. The taste is unbeatable. The recovery post workout is fantastic. It mixes very easily with just a spoon; I use (very cold) filtered water, so I am not familiar with how it may mix with milk, though I suspect just as well. I use the Chocolate, but have just ordered Brownie Batter flavor for a tiny bit of variety. 2+ years of using this mix, and I have yet to find something better. Gain lean muscle, lose body fat, with Muscle Milk.
I have been using Muscle Milk twice a day (I do 6 small meals/snacks) for a while now. Not only helps with lean muscle gain, but helps me stick to a healthy diet that includes very little in the way of sweets. It is great tasting and many flavors to choose from.
Muscle Milk Protein Mix is one of the few advertising good taste that actually delivers. I use low fat milk as my mixer, but water works equally well. It mixes easily (hint: let it sit after an initial shake, then shake vigorously for 30 sec). Use a shaker. Honestly, no really decent protein mix does well with a spoon. Taste: really good, honestly. I haven't done 'em all, but creme brulee, strawberry are faves. Plain chocolate ain't bad, either. They taste more like a dessert than a training aid. Really. I meal substitute with them and find them filling, yet not bloating. Pre or post workout, there's nothing better. You can't miss with Muscle Milk.

I have tried several protein drinks (Isopure, Nitro Tech, 100% Whey Gold Standard) and Muscle Milk is by far the best tasting and most effective one I've ever had. On a good (not necessarily great) workout and diet routine with this shake added in, you'll see results very quickly. The taste is phenomenal!! It really tastes like whatever the label says it tastes like.
I am a bariatric post op and this product is ideal for 100 caloried drink. Lowest sodium compared to other brands, tastes the best of all and is thick and creamy. 0 sugar. Absolutely the best. I discovered it and had to get it since the sodium content was much lower than the competitive brands. Thank you, Musclemilk.

I need to qualify this review by stating up front that I'm one of those people who can really, really taste artificial sweeteners - although I do fine with Splenda/sucralose. That's apparently a genetic trait, so I'm stuck with it. This product is sweetened with acesulfame potassium and sucralose. For me the product was overly sweetened (a common failing in reduced-fat products) and just plain nasty-tasting. I drank it at night and could still taste the artificial sweeteners the next day, after brushing my teeth and drinking coffee. I have not yet tried the chocolate but I'm hopeful that the extra flavoring will mask the chemical taste.

These shakes taste great and the texture is nice (never had an issue with clumping). One shake in the morning keeps me going for hours. The packing is nice too. My only complaint are the high calories, but the low carbs, vitamins, etc., more than make up for it.
This tastes great and the packaging is excellent! They have a little spout with a cap which makes drinking a LOT easier than the MET-RX bottles. They are made of some kind of foil and they travel well. The only problem I found is that the ones I got sat for about 3 months and they got lumpy. I couldn't shake the lumps away. Definitely drink cold as they don't taste the best warm. MET-RX tastes better at room temperature. It has slightly more fat than MET-RX, so I would compare them before buying to get the one that works best for your diet. I am using it to lose weight and it makes a good meal replacement.
